In order to volunteer, chaperone, or be a class parent at St. Francis Cathedral School (SFCS), one must complete the following four requirements:
1) Volunteer Application
2) Fingerprint (background check)
The fingerprint/background check is valid for 3 years.
3) Protecting God's Children Workshop
4) Code of Pastoral Conduct Acknowledgment of Receipt and
Review
Once all four requirements are met, you will be issued a badge with an expiry which coincides with the validity of your background check. It is the responsibility of the volunteer to keep track of the expiration of his/her badge and initiate a background re-check in timely fashion (approximately 1 month before expiration). When volunteering, your badge must be visible at all times.
