Catholic Schools Week is here! It is certainly going to be a fun-filled week.
Here's a quick overview of the week's activities.
In between these exciting events, we will be doing some schoolwork too!
Religion - We will continue our Theology of the Body curriculum, which the children have really been enjoying. Ask your child about the cool coffee filter activity we did! This week we will talk about how we are created with a soul and a body, and both of these things are very good! We will talk a little more about Original Sin and the Garden of Eden.
LA - Volume 1 readers came home on Friday- these can stay home. We will begin Module 6 on Monday. Our first story, "This Is Your Life Cycle" is always a hit, as we read about Dahlia the Dragonfly going through her life cycle. In grammar, we will begin to talk about verbs.
Math - We are starting my favorite unit in math, fractions! We will learn about naming fractions of a shape and fractions of a group this week. We will also look at locating unit fractions and fractions of a whole on a number line.
Science - This week, we will begin our chapter on weather!
*Looking ahead, the 3rd and 4th grade Patriotic Play will be on Tuesday, February 28 at 7:00 PM. Stay tuned for more details!
Have a great weekend! God bless!
