It was such a pleasure meeting everyone during Pre-K Orientation, and a wonderful way to start a year of learning! Thank you for all the donations, it is much appreciated!
This week we began learning the “God, My Father” prayer and how to make the Sign of the Cross. We started to grasp the classroom routines by beginning our day with a Morning Meeting. We read “Click Clack Moo Goes to School” and “Pete the Cat’s First Day of School.” In addition, we explored the classroom centers, and worked on gripping a pencil. Shaping playdough into different shapes was a favorite for all!
We also created some magnificent artwork to decorate the classroom with. Our school buses and first day crowns were works of art!
Pre-K4B also learned all about seasons. We sung a Season song, and decorated leaves for our upcoming Season, Fall!
Next week, we will begin learning about colors. The colors of the week will be yellow and red. We ask that on Friday, September 16th you please include one or as many of these colors as you would like in your wardrobe.
*A friendly reminder to please label your child’s belongings and to provide a family photo for the classroom Family Wall. Napster Payments are $25.00 and the Activity Fee is $35.00, please write out two separate checks to SFCS. Also, at the Pick Up and Drop Off door of the school, we will have a clear bin where if you forget anything, please place it in there and ring the doorbell.*
