Pre-K4B had a wonderful start to the school year! It was so successful to see the students transitioning into the classroom so well! We started our first day off with our Morning Song and everyone loved to dance to it! We then had a classroom scavenger hunt and everyone familiarize themselves with the different areas and where things are. We practiced our fine motor skills by using a thin paintbrush to paint an apple. We also identified the color red for our apples.
We drew self portraits and shared something special about ourselves so we are able to get to know one another. We also had a blast creating play dough structures and identifying the play dough's colors.
We began to learn the Sign of the Cross during our Morning prayers. We also began to recite the “God my Father” prayer.
We also practiced our pencil grip by squeezing the pencil and traced our names. Our favorite part of the week was learning all about our class goldfish, Goldie. We learned how to take care of her and how to feed her. We created Goldie necklaces as well and all showed them to her!
We ended our week with bubbles and chalk on our playground.
Thank you everyone for all your donations to our classroom, it is so much appreciated!
