Pre-K4B had a very busy and exciting week. We worked very hard at tracing the letter “L” and listing different words that begin with “L.” We used our Smart Board to find the letter “L” in a word search and also traced it on our board too. We sang a song, “Larry the Lion” to help us know the “L” sound.
We roared into class to learn all about dinosaurs. We created our very own dinosaur book, and had an amazing dino dig. We also explored about fossils, and pressed fossils into playdough. We played a matching games on dinosaurs to see the different species.
We learned and recited a new prayer, “The Hail Mary.” We stayed in the lines when coloring our picture of Mary, and got to see a pair of rosary beads.
Pre-K also investigated our feelings. We made faces to express our emotions, and drew our faces to show we were feeling that day. We sang a song about being calm, and learned to take a breath and count to ten to help us be relaxed and calm.
We had a blast reading about the colors of the week, pink, purple, and brown. We worked on tracing the color’s names and painted a pink cupcake! We introduced a new color song at the end of the week as well.
The Blue Mass for the police in the county was held this week. We used our artistic talents to create thank you cards for them. We greeted the police officers as they exited the church, and got to give them our beautiful cards and waive to them. Our favorite part was meeting the police horse, and seeing the police helicopter fly above us in the sky.
If you could please bring in a picture of your pet/ a pet your child would like to have/there favorite animal for our animal blessing by Monday, October 4th, and place it in their folder.
*We would like to wish Joshua, Amari, and Archer very Happy 4th Birthdays! Also a very Happy 5th Birthday to Tanvi!*
God Bless,
