Thank you to Ella for taking home Polly. Did you know Polly and Ella swam in their pool and went to Chuckie Cheese. What fun! Hareem is our Student of the Week. Please take a moment to look at her information.
This week we learned a new prayer: Angel of God. We learned we have an Angel on our shoulder always looking after us.
Angel of God my guardian dear
To whom God's love commits me here
Ever this day be at my side
To light and guard to rule and guide
Amen
We also began our new Religion program. We learned children have a church family who gathers in Jesus' name. We started our Seeds book and reinforced the sign of the cross and we read our Seeds magazine.
We learned about the square and how it has four sides. We read a story and listened to a square song. Pictures are all children making squares with chalk and the five day children played hopscoth on Tuesday with squares.
We also learned about the colors blue, pink and purple. We painted a blue cloud, purple square and pink heart. The children are getting very good at painting! Next week we will learn the rest of the colors and we will have color day next Friday. Wear rainbow colors (any colors).
Just a reminder if you signed up to bring peeled/cut up apples for Monday please give them to Mrs. Meier at the door on Monday morning. The children are so excited to make applesauce. We will taste it on Wednesday when all the children come back to school. We will be making a Johnny Appleseed craft and reading books about him. We will learn about the parts of the apple next week as well and how there are many different kinds of apples. Thank you to all the parents who are bringing in apples!
We are really working hard on writing our names. Please help your child write their name at home one to two times a day.
Peace,
Mrs. McNulty
