Thank you to Sebby for taking home Lucy, Ducky and Bucky this past weekend. Did you know the ducks had breakfast with Sebby!
The children are practicing how to hold a writing instrument properly (pencil, crayon, marker). They are tracing their names this week. We also made their names out of manipulatives. Please help them write their names at home daily. A letter went home today on how you can help your child write their name the proper way.
We learned about the color of apples..red, green and yellow. We also learned about triangles and rectangles. We go over both colors and shapes daily during circle time. Show your child a diamond and ask them another name for it! We also count to 10 and started with the alphabet and will soon start sounds of the alphabet. We learned the song My God is So Great, The Number Song and God Bless America! We pray the God My Father prayer and have started the Angel of God prayer. Please when you are praying at home pray these prayers we say in school. This week we learned that we can pray anywhere and God will listen to us. We also shared our favorite place to pray. Here is the Angel of God prayer.
Angel of God, my guardian dear
To whom God's love, commits me here
Ever this day, be at my side
To light and guard, to rule and guide
Amen.
We were so excited to make applesauce for Johnny Appleseed Day! We can't wait to taste it on Monday. Thank you to all the parents who sent in apples!
If you did not send in your ziploc sandwich size plastic container please do so on Monday.
God Bless,
Mrs. McNulty
