Pre-K 4B explored all about apples this week. We created our own apples out of tissue paper, and read all about how apples grow on trees. We also used fizzy painting to paint apples, and put on our chef hats to make applesauce. We had so much fun moving our bodies to our Apple Pie Dance. We also celebrated Johnny Appleseed by coloring our own hats, and read a book on our SmartBoard about him.
To explore apples, we also used tubes to stack popsicles onto to build our own apple tree and to make sure none of the pom pom apples fell off the tree.
Our colors of the week were blue and orange. We used our "Brown Bear" book to identify the blue horse and orange gold fish. We made puppets after we colored our pictures of them, and read the book with the puppets we created. We also added blue and orange crayons to our whiteboard crayon pack.
We found squares all around our classroom, and made squares out of playdough and our blocks.
Pre-K is still working on their pencil grip, and we worked on seeing our lines and curves in our letters. We practiced tracing them, and seeing what lines and curves we have in our first names. We also counted how many letters we have in our first name as well.
Congratulations to Jake, who was our "Student of the Week." He loves the color blue and chicken. His favorite book is "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom."
*Next week, our colors are purple and green, you can wear these colors on Friday, Sept.29th*
Thank you and God Bless,
