Pre-K4B worked on their fine motor skills this week. We began to squeeze and grip our pencils. We began with squeezing playdough and building with our legos to prepare.
We also began learning all about apples. We began with our SmartBoard “Apple Tree” song and then learned about all the parts of the apple. We used dotters to create our favorite apples too! We even looked inside a real apple! We created our own apple trees with sponges and red glitter for the apples. We also tore red paper to create an apple.
We started our new “Shape Song” and moved our bodies to shape yoga. We then learned about a circle! We had cars drive around in a circle and made circles using pipe cleaners. On our Smartboard, Pre-K completed a game to find all the circle shapes.
During Morning Meeting, We began to learn about our seasons and we read, “What I See: Seasons.” We all shared what we see in each season too.
We introduced our Kindness Wall too! Every time one of the students does something kind, they can color an ice cream cone and hang it on our wall. We all shared how we can be kind at school and at home.
Pre-K completed a “God, My Father” puzzle and it gave us different ways God shows his love for us. We are working on reciting “God, My Father” prayer, and we introduced our classroom prayer table. We all saw our Mary statue, our classroom rosary beads, and read the Prayer of Saint Francis.
Congratulations to Landon who was “Student of the Week.” We learned he loves the color yellow and pasta!
