No school Friday, September 20 due to a faculty meeting.

Thank you to Andrea for being our first Student of the week. Did you know she likes to play outside and swim at the pool.

Joey took Tilly the turtle our class pet home this past weekend. He took Tilly to a Red Bull's soccer game with his family in Red Bull Stadium! What fun!!

The children are adjusting very well to the school routine. They are also adjusting to nap time and everyone lays quietly on their napsters. We even had four to five children fall asleep.

This week we learned about Ally the Alligator and how to hold our pencil the correct way. We traced our names and practiced the correct way to write it. Please help your child with this at home.

We read several Bible stories Moses Crosses the Red Sea, Daniel and the Lions, Jonah and the Whale, Jesus is Born and David and Goliath. We are learning God My Father prayer and Bless Us Oh Lord. We are also learning how to share. We learned Pre school is a happy place!

God My Father Prayer
God my Father I give you today. All that I do and all that I say. I'll work hard at learning, have fun and play. Jesus be with me all through the day

Bless us oh Lord and these thy gifts, which we are about to receive from thy bounty through Christ our Lord Amen

We learned about circles this week. We traced circles, had small groups and made a circle creation out of construction paper. We used Play-Doh and formed circles and looked around our room and named many circles. We read the book and listened to the song Cindy Circle. We watched a circle video too. We blew bubbles for circles today...what fun!

We also learned about the colors blue and purple and pink. We found out we have many things in our room that are blue, pink and purple. We dotted blue and purple papers and painted with Q-tips to learn the color purple. We sorted and played with blue and blue toys. We made a pink construction paper bubble project for the color pink.

We read apple and dinosaur books this week. We will be making applesauce if anyone wants to send in peeled and cut up apples the morning of September 25 please let me know.

We learned all about our feelings and did our Lets Find Out magazine issue on line. We did a dance break for feelings and talked about our feelings!
