Pre-K 4B had a blast learning more about Pre-K and classroom routines. They are doing a great job making the sign of the cross. We even learned a new song, “Jesus Can.”
We had a great time exploring all about apples. We labeled and colored the parts of the apple, and learned how apple trees grow. We also learned about how apple juice is made. We made our own apple using red paint.
For our colors, we found red and yellow objects around the classroom. We created red handprints to make an apple, and used yellow dotters and coffee filters to create suns.
For writing, we worked on how to grip a pencil, and tracing zig zag lines to work on our tracing and fine motor skills. In addition, we rolled out playdough for the first letter of our names and wrote it in play sand as well.
We are working on learning the classroom routines. We all enjoyed having classroom jobs, and exploring our centers. We did a great job helping one another to clean up! Also, we are learning our “God, My Father” prayer and say “Grace” before snack and lunch time.
Pre-K4B also explored about fossils and we did a Dino stomp dance with our musical instruments. We also made dino footprints in sand.
Next week’s colors are blue and green. Please feel free to include them in your wardrobe on Friday, September 24th to school. Also, a friendly reminder to bring in a family photo for our photo board.
We would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to Giancarlo & Michael who turn 4 on Saturday, September 17th!
*Please remember that next week, you are no longer able to come into the classroom at drop off time. You can drop them off by our entrance door, and we will help them to the classroom.*
Please email me at [email protected] with any questions, thank you!
God Bless,
Miss Kline & Mrs. A
