Pre-K 4B had a blast learning more about Pre-K and classroom routines. They are doing a great job making the sign of the cross and learning our prayers. We colored a sheet to help them learn the sign of the cross that they can share at home.
For the color red and yellow, we read "Brown Bear Brown Bear" and identified those colors. We painted the red bird from the book using forks, and the yellow duck using sponges. We danced to color freeze dance.
For writing, we worked on how to grip a pencil, and tracing zig zag lines to work on our tracing and fine motor skills. Pre-K also worked on gripping their crayons when we colored in the classroom.
Our shape of the week was a circle. We worked on tracing circles, and all shared circles we see everyday. We also practiced them on our SmartBoard, and read a book all about circles. We found out our legos have circles on the top, and we painted with them too!
On Friday, we celebrated Dot Day! We began with reading "The Dot" book, and painted with fuzzy pom poms. We also used our dotters to dot a Fall leaf, and created our own structures using dots of playdough and pipe cleaners.
Congratulations to Aayra, who was our "Student of the Week." We learned she loved pink and red. Also, that her favorite food is rice, and she loves "Bleuy."
* Please remember we are accepting apple donations until Wednesday, Sept. 20th*
*Next week, our colors are orange and blue, you can wear these colors on Friday, Sept.22nd*
Thank you and God Bless,
