NO SCHOOL MONDAY OCTOBER 10
Thank you to Julian for bringing home Polly this past weekend. Did you know Polly went to Sesame Place and also played goalie in Julian's soccer game!! Nathan is our Student of the Week. Please take a moment to look at his information.
Thank you to Father Edgar for coming to Bless us on the Feast of St. Francis. See the picture of Miss Kline's class along with our class getting a blessing.
We learned about who St. Francis was and how he loves animals. We also learned how to calmed the wolf and that the wolf's name was Gubbio. We also learned about how we grow with God.
We learned about the letter Ll this week. We traced, wrote on our dry erase boards, dotted, wrote on paper and in the air, made Ll letters out of Play-Doh, our bodies and even traced a small car with the letter Ll. We watched Ll videos, sang Ll songs and read Ll books. We looked around the room for Ll things. We finished up with making a Lamp project for the letter Ll. Please reinforce all letters we do by going our the letter, having your child write them and tell you the sound it makes.
We learned about the shape of rectangle. We looked for rectangles around the room, drew rectangles, colored rectangles, read rectangle stories and sang rectangle songs.
We are still working on writing our names the correct way. Please reinforce this at home.
We read several Halloween and Fall books already. One of them was The Little Old Lady Who was not Afraid of Anything. Here we acted out the story and built a scarecrow at the end of the story!
We learned about bats and watched a video and read a silly bat story called Bats at the Beach. WE all followed a directive drawing on the smartboard and drew a bat.
Thank you to the parents who already sent the money in for the Halloween pumpkin, pizza and party. We can't wait to celebrate Halloween!!!!
Have a great weekend!
