Thank you to Leo for taking Tilly home this weekend. Did you know Tilly went to Grandpa's birthday party!!!! Happy birthday to Leo's Grandpa:)
Devin was our Student of the Week. He loves rainbow donuts! Monday was Dinosaur Day! We learned about different kinds of dinosaurs, read many stories, played with toy dinosaurs, did a dinosaur stomp dance, made a dinosaur puppet, roared liked dinosaurs and went on a dinosaur dig. It was a great day! We are learning the Hail Mary this week. Please help your child with this. Hail Mary Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed our though among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary Mother of God pray for our sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen We learned about who St. Francis was and how he loved animals and nature. He also calmed a wolf named Gubbio down when he was scaring the town people. We read from Sitting Like a Saint: Patron Saint of Animals and Nature. The children enjoyed this book. We will be using it for when we learn about different Saints. We had pet blessing today with Father Christy in the Mary garden. We learned about the number one and the letter Ll this week. We have been using our white boards almost daily to practice. The children are getting really good with practicing on their white boards. We looked for things in our room there is one of. We watched videos on both the number one and letter Ll. We read stories on the letter Ll and looked at pictures that began with the letter Ll. We also found some things in our room that begin with the letter Ll. We had small groups for the letter Ll. We painted a lemon for Ll, made letter Ll out of a table toy, made Ll's with our rice trays and made Ll's from colored sticks. The five day children made letter Ll's out of their bodies! Please reinforce all letters (how to write, identify and the sound it makes). Also, numbers as well. I appreciate your help at home. We started to learn about community helpers. Our first Community helper was Nihal's mom who is a dentist. The children learned about to take care of their teeth. Thanks Dr. Sodhi for coming in! She gave us a toothbrush! We also learned a cute song for Columbus day. Please send only cash in for the Halloween party. The cost is $6.00. Please note there is 11:50 dismissal on October 11 no school on October 14. God Bless, Mrs. McNulty
