Pre-K 4B had an awesome Halloween Celebration! We dotted pumpkins and had a bubble dance party. We all looked fabulous for our parade and the pizza party was so yummy. We colored a spooky coloring page, and loved to dress up Francis as a mummy!
Our letter of the week was “A.” We sponge painted an apple painting, and practiced writing the letter on our writing line. We created an astronaut, and sponge painted a red apple. We also counted all the “a’s” we have in our names. We read “Apples Apples” too and worked on our “A” sound.
The number of the week was “3.” We listened to our writing number songs to practice our “3.” We made it out of blocks and used poms poms to create it as well. We also worked on type patterns by diving the same animals in the classroom. We also practiced writing it on our SmartBoard.
We celebrated “All Saints Day” on Tuesday. We read about the different saints and traced the word in our workbooks. We also colored in different saints and made a stain glass window out of tissue paper to go along with our saints. We have been working hard on our “Hail Mary” prayer, and made our own booklet to practice at home with.
We went on a leaf hunt and had so much fun picking colorful leaves. We created a scarecrow with them and did an experiments. We used yellow dye and placed leaves in them and saw how the dye spread through the veins of the leaves.
Our “Student of the Week” was Xavier. We learned his favorite color is yellow and red, and he loves math at school. Congratulations!
Happy 5th Birthday to Danika who celebrated with us on Friday!
