Happy Halloween! We had a blast celebrating Halloween all together. We went to our playground pumpkin patch, and picked our own pumpkins! Thank you so much Class Parents for setting this up. We used dripped painting to decorate them, everyone picked their two favorite colors.. They all looked so colorful!
We enjoyed our Pizza Party and Parade too! We all shared our costumes and had a Halloween dance party with bubbles. We also sponge painted spooky ghosts, and had a blast visiting our Fifth Graders. We colored pumpkin pictures for them, and loved meeting them!
Pre-K celebrated “All Saints Day.” We visited our chapel to say a prayer and made our own saint stained glass windows as our craft. We also began to learn our Thanksgiving prayer during Morning Meeting.
We had our letter review of all the letters we learned this year so far! We also sang our new phonic’s song so we can learn our letter spells. We began to blend the letters we learned on our SmartBoard to read different words. We also played a game matching the letter to its sound. We ended our week with a letter freeze dance.
The number of the week was four. We wrote it on our Smartboard and made it out of different sets of blocks to work on our fine motor skills. We also learned how color patterns are made. We completed the pattern using our colorful animals, and our crayons.
Thank you to Lauren for bringing Francis home with her. Francis loved going to the park and swinging on the swings. Thank you for taking such good care of her!
Our “Student of the Week” is Carter. Carter enjoys “Pete the Cat” books and loves center time. His favorite color is blue and his favorite animal is a lion.
