Our Letter of the week was “C.” We created a colorful caterpillar and found objects in our classroom beginning with “C.” We worked on tracing the letter on our SmartBoard, and sung our “Cathy Cook” song. We also learned how to make the letter “C” in sign language.
We prepared for Halloween by learning a new song, “Five Little Monsters Jumping on the Bed” and created our own cats by using paper plates.
We explored the number 0 and 1 this week. We sang our “Writing Number” song, and learned what a ten frame was. We put the number 0 and 1 in our ten frame, and worked on tracing them on our Smartboard. We also made the numbers out of fuzzy pom poms.
We read a book about our “Guardian Angel” and colored an angel picture. We also learned how God wants us to ask for help when we need it.
For Community Helper month, we had so many special guests. Mrs.Jomy, who is a nurse, explained all about the different jobs a nurse does and the tool they use. She also read us a book! Officer Rose came for a visited too! We were so excited to see the police car and said our names over the speaker. He even gave us sticker badges. Mrs. Cymber visited us too! She is a Speech Therapist, and explained how she helps people speak and swallow at different hospitals. Thank you everyone for taking the time to visit us, and we learned so much!
Our fourth grade students visited us to present about living and non living things. We learned some much from their presentations, and appreciated all their hard work. Thank you for sharing with us!
Pre-K also did some gardening on our playground. We planted bulbs in the ground and worked on our gross motor skills by digging with shovels.
We also had a special visitor stop by our classroom, the Chick-fil-a cow! We showed him our cows we created out of cups!
*A friendly reminder that the $6.00 Halloween fee is due on Monday, October 24th.*
