The Autumn season is lending itself to lots of Prek3 lessons. The children are counting acorns, presenting their tree books and checking out the gathered tree nuts and flower seeds in our nature box. The easel challenge is making different types of lines and in the sensoral area the children are using constructive triangles to make shapes. Special thanks to Mrs. Sodhi affectionately know as Nihal's mom from Metuchen Pediatric Dentistry for speaking to the children about dental care as part of our community helpers topic.
We went on a nature walk to take a closer look at trees and gather colorful leaves. Some leaves are falling into the playground!
Our class poem on circle:
Autumn leaves begin to blow,
Colored leaves, fall fast and slow,
Twirling, whirling, all around,
Til at last they touch the ground.
