Thank you to for bringing home Lucky, Ducky and Bucky this past weekend. Did you know Derek introduced the ducks to his three sisters and mom and dad? He even drew a picture of the three ducks! We had our first Community helpers this week. Nanak's mom is a dentist. She came in and told us how to take care of our teeth! Thank you to Nanak's mom! We also had David's dad come in to speak to us about his occupation- mechanial engineer. He did a power point presentaion for the children with many colorfull slides!
This week we reviewed the number one and learned about the number two. We worked on our white boards and also traced the number in the sand.
We learned the letter Tt and the sound it makes. We traced, read stories, sang songs, made the letter with Play-Doh, made a T craft and also ate french TOAST for the letter Tt. We made our french toast sticks into the letter Tt before we ate it! Most of the children loved it.
This month is about Mary. We are finished learning our poem : Lovely lady and started learning the Hail Mary.
Hail Mary Full of grace the Lord is with thee
Blessed our thou among womaen and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus
Holy Mary Mother of God Pray for our sinners
Now and at the hour of our death
Amen
Please pray this beautiful prayer at night.
We also learned about the Rosary and all held a Rosary in our hands. We learned that Saint Domic gave Mary the Rosary. The children were very interested in all of the beads. We counted the number of beads in a decade of the Rosary.
We read a book about Mary and her life and colored a picture of Mary.
We learned about leaves and the season of Fall. We also read and acted out a fun Halloween story- The Little Old Lady Who Wasn't Afraid of Anything!
No school next Friday, October 20 due to a teacher's meeting!
God Bless,
Mrs. McNulty
