Pre-K 4B began this week learning about our new letter, “T.” We traced the letter and listen to “Tommy Tiger” song to listen for “T” sounds and words. We created our own tiger as well in the shape of a “T.” We drew the stripes ourselves.
This week, we also began counting to ten in Spanish, and worked on writing the numbers zero and one. We made them out of play dough too. We also did a number search on our Smart Board where we found them, and worked on counting while stacking blocks.
For our Community Helper Month, we named all helpers we see in our neighborhood. We learned all about firefighters too this week. We learned what they wear to fight a fire, and parts of the fire engine. We traced the word “firefighter” and colored a picture of one. We watched a video on how firefighters fight fires, and discussed fire safety rules. We all got certificates because we had great listening ears.
We learned a new prayer, “The Glory Be.” Everyone is doing a wonderful job making the “Sign of the Cross.” We learned about how God gives us feelings, and we used our feeling chart to see how everyone was feeling during our Morning Meeting. We also discussed how if a friend is feeling sad, how we can help to make them feel a bit better!
Francis visited Madeline and her family this weekend. She had a blast going for a hike and a special treat and pumpkin at Delicious Orchards. Thank you for taking such great care of her.
*A friendly reminder that the school will be closed, Friday, October 22 for a teacher training.*
God Bless,
