Thank you to Nihal for taking Tilly home this past weekend. Did you know he went to Target and also visited with his grandparents. What fun!
We have learned the prayers: Angel of God, Hail Mary, Bless Us Oh Lord and God My Father. This month is devoted to Mary so we will be learning the Mary Poem Lovely Lady Dressed in Blue this week. It is such a beautiful poem!
We learned about the letter Tt this week. We looked at things that begin with the letter Tt, wrote on our white boards, traced the letter and made the letter Tt out of small manipulatives. We watched Tt videos and played a guessing game with the letter Tt online. We had small groups where we painted a tree for the letter Tt, made a Tt out of squares and used unifix cubes to make Tt's and practiced on white boards. We also learned the number 2 and the shape of the triangle. We made triangles out of Play-Doh and listened to a story called Trixie Triangle. We used our white boards to practice number two's and traced number two's along with coloring two objects. We practiced with chalk on the sidewalk. Our number songs learned: Start up here and come straight down, start up here and come straight down, start up here and come straight to make the number one. Curve slant and then a push, curve slant and then a push, curve slant and then a push to make the number two. We learned about nocturnal animals- the owl. We completed our Let's Find Out magazine online. You can review at home. We also watched a video on owls. The occupations we talked about this week were a high school teacher, librarian and firefighter. The five day children also learned about zoo keepers and farmers. We built a floor puzzle of a farm together on Thursday. Thank you to Aryanna's mom who came in talk with us. She is a high school teacher and she gave us a pouch with a pencil, crayons and other goodies to keep home to help us with our homework. We visited the school Library where Mrs. Hajduk read a story and told us about the Library. Please send in your $6.00 for the Halloween party. Please send in cash only. Also, please note the Blue Mass is on the same day as the Halloween Parade, October 30. Please plan ahead. Parking will be really tight and you may have to park several blocks away. The parade will begin at noon and the Blue Mass will just be letting out a little before that. Please arrive 11:30-11:45 to make sure you have time to get a parking spot and walk to the school. We do go outside around 9:30 and it is chilly. Please make sure your child has a jacket on colder mornings. God Bless, Mrs. McNulty
