Pre-K began our Thanksgiving celebration! We created our own pumpkin pies with construction paper pieces and a cotton ball of whip cream. We read “How to Catch a Turkey” book. We also learned a Thanksgiving prayer and song. We decorated our own turkeys using forks to create colorful feathers. We also shared what we are thankful for at home and made a family portrait around the dinner table.
We also read “Going on a Leaf Hunt” and explored our playground to collect leaves. We made a hedgehog out of them, and watched a video to learn more about hedgehogs.
We learned about our letters “C” and “U.” We loved to create a colorful unicorn mane out of tissue paper. We also learned a new phonic’s song for our Morning Meeting to practice our letter sounds. We also began to put our sounds together on our SmartBoard to create words.
Pre-K also read the Bible story about Creation. We watched a video on what God created, and we also saw our poster in our classroom about it as well.
We celebrated Veteren’s Day on Friday! We created hearts with red and blue paper to represent our flag colors. We also learned about what different veterans do to protect us and our country. We saw a water rescue from the Coast Guard, and completed a Veteran’s Day Parade pattern on our SmartBoard.
The number we learned about was five. We wrote our five in pom poms and out of pipe cleaners. We also began learning about color patterns. We used our colored rocks to complete the pattern and our colored bears.
Congratulations to our “Student of the Week” Maya R. She loves the movie “Frozen” and french fries! Also, a very Happy Birthday to Maya who celebrated with us!
Rocco took such great care of Francis. She had so many shopping trips, which she loved, and had a blast at SuperCharged.
