Pre-K4B did a wonderful job on their letters this week. We did a Bumble Bee song for our letter “B” and "D" created our own dog puppets and shared them during the Morning Meeting time. We also practiced building the letters with legos and making them in kinetic sand. We also introduced a new phonics song to help us with our letter sounds.
We opened our new Pizza Center! We worked on making pizza and had our very own order forms. We received a five star review because we matched all our toppings to each order correctly. We also decoronated pizza for our pizza shop!
Our number was five. We matched all five pumpkins to each number and reviewed all our numbers in playdough and using our ten frames on our SmartBoard.
We began to learn our “Hail Mary” and about Mary. We colored the prayer to share at home. We made a Mary craft by coloring a picture of her and then using our fine motor skills to make a tissue paper frame around her.
Pre-K4B loved beginning our Pumpkin Jack Stem project. We carved a pumpkin and then placed it in soil and put a clear jar over it. We all drew our guesses of what will happen to Pumpkin Jack.
We ended our week by sharing what a tradition is. We named traditions we have in SFCS and began to explore Thanksgiving. We created a turkey using a dotter and our own slice of glitter pumpkin pie.
Our Student of the Week was Sofia. Sofia loves Gabby’s Dollhouse and the color pink!
Thank you to Maeve for bringing home Smart Cookie. She enjoyed her trip to Pennsylvania and Disney on Ice!
Thank you to everyone who has shared books from home with us, we have loved reading them all!
