Happy November birthday to Sullivan, Hareem and Akachi!
Thank you to Auri for taking home Polly this past weekend.Did you know she had a family sleepover with her cousins. What fun! Yinka was Student of the Week. Please take a moment to look at his information sheet.
We had a fun day on Halloween reading stories, dancing, playing games, having pizza and Halloween Oreos along with orange goldfish and Halloween cookies too! We had a great parade with all of our parents, grandparents and friends coming to see us!
We observed All Saints Day with learning about how special saints  are and the first saint we learned about was Saint Joseph. We also learned about Saint Anthony and Saint Cecilia. The children learned the Saint Anthony prayer:
Saint Anthony Saint Anthony please come around. Something has been lost and must be found.
We also learned how Jesus always wants to be with us.
We learned about the letter Aa, the number 2 and we learned about Veterans Day. We read a letter Bb book and introduced that letter and sound.
The school is having the Scholastic book fair next week. Pre-k may shop with their family Tuesday November 8 after school or at night 6-8PM. It will be held in the Community room of the school (which is under the church). Please come to support the school and see what wonderful books are for sale. A flyer went home this week.
Thank you to the children woh brought show n' tell in this week. You did a wonderful job explaining about your items. Show n' tell next week will be something that begins with the letter Bb.
Our first class book began to circulate next week. If your child did not complete a page for the book please send it in on Monday.
Pre-k conferences are NOT in November like grades K-8. We will have conferences February 6. We will be sending home our first Pre-k Assessment next week. Please sign and return so I know you saw it. Please look at the letters, sounds and numbers we have taught so far and review with your child all concepts that go home.
