Thank you to Logan for taking Tilly the turtle this past weekend. Did you know he took Tilly to Disneyland to celebrate his sister Maddy's birthday! WOW!
Noelle was the Student of the week. She wants to be a mommy when she grows up!
This week we learned about Saint Vincent De Paul and how he fed the poor. Mrs. McNulty traced our hands from construction paper to make a classroom advent wreath we will light for the month of December. We learned what the word Nativity is and how each Nativity scene could be different. We reviewed our letters and learned about the number 8. We counted on a number line, counted pictures, practiced writing on white boards, counted 8 dots on a domino, counted on a ten frame, counted tally marks, counted 8 fingers and made a number 8 out of construction paper pieces.
We continue to read all the comments from parents about our Christmas tradition book the children wrote. We had our Thanksgiving celebration and we made mac and cheese in our classroom. The children really enjoyed it! We all dressed up as Pilgrims and Native Americans and pretended we were having the First Thanksgiving. We did a Thanksgiving Turkey STEM experiment where we melted Skittles with a turkey body around it. The children loved it! Important notices went home this week about the Advent collection, the month of December Christmas activities and Santa's Workshop. On behalf of Mrs. Meier and myself we would like to wish you a blessed Thanksgiving! Mrs. McNulty
