Thank you to Ryan for taking home Tilly the turtle this past weekend. Did you know he took Tilly to a farmers market and visited Nana and Pappa at their house in Staten Island. Tilly is so happy to be meeting so many grandparents! Nihal was our Student of the Week. Did you know he wants to be a doctor just like his parents!
This week we learned about Mother Theresa and Saint Bernadette. The children are learning so many Saints and each time we do Circle Time together they know each one and at least one fact about them. We talked about why we are thankful and how God has given us so many things to be thankful for. We learned about the letter Oo. We watched videos about the letter Oo, Made Play-Dohn Oo's, read a letter Oo story, had letter Oo show n' tell, traced the letter Oo, found words and pictures that began with the letter. We had small groups where we switched from group to group. One group made Oo's from pompoms, another practiced on white boards and we traced and painted octagons with a Q-tip. We learned about the number 7 by learning a number 7 song, practiced writing number 7, used our counters to count and made 7's out of Play-Doh. There will be no Show n' tell next week because of Thanksgiving.
November 25, 26 and 27 are 11:50 dismissal with no lunch at school. The big school grades K-8 have conferences that week. Pre-k conferences are February 10 starting at 1:00.
