PreK-4B began our week with reading books about being thankful. We read books about being thankful, and shared what we are thankful for during Morning Meeting. We used out dotters to dot fall leaves to make a wreath of what we are grateful for. We also learned a song about being grateful.
Our Letter of the Week was D. We danced with dinos, and painted our own donuts with colorful sprinkles. We created a dog for our letter, and found uppercase and lowercase D’s in a letter search. We also created the letters using playdough and drove our mini cars to form the letter.
We also learned all about the number five. We clapped, jumped, and skipped five times to start number time, and put five colorful blocks in our ten frame. We also colored in on our Smartboard five blocks and found it on our number line. We also listened to songs with the number five in them, we all loved the monkeys jumping on the bed!
We were so excited to explore the Macy’s Day balloons that are at the Thanksgiving Day Parade. We learned what steps go into creating the balloons, and we drew our own balloons we would love to see. We learned they are created with the invention of computers, and are sewn together. We counted how many people it takes to hold the balloons during the parade, it was 90 people!
We did a great job creating a Thanksgiving plate. We used cotton balls for mashed potatoes, and had tissue paper green beans. We also created a place mate for Thanksgiving and continued to work on our Thanksgiving prayer. We did a fantastic job watching a video on manners, and how to act when we are eating. We also put together a turkey puppet. They put the feathers in number order of 1-5.
*A friendly reminder Pre-K Parent Teacher Conferences will be scheduled for February 6, 2023, and we also be a half day of school. For next week, we will have a half day on Wednesday, and be closed on Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday.*
God Bless,
