Hello parents,
I am looking forward to meeting you and your child. I am really excited to start Pre-k and so is Mrs. Meier our classroom aide. Please review the welcome letter I emailed you on August 30. Check this blog every Friday as there will be important information you will read about in Pre-k.
God Bless,
Mrs. McNulty
It was so nice to meet everyone this week! I am looking forward to watching your child grow and learn this year.
Dominic took Polly the parrot home for the weekend. We will read about Polly's adventures on Monday at Circle time.
The children are learning the classroom routine as well as rules of our classroom. We sang a rules song on the Smartboard.
We are learning to hold the pencil correctly and trace our names. We learned how to sit criss cross applesauce on the carpet. We sang songs, said the pledge of alligiance to the flag, went over colors, numbers and shapes during Circle time. We read stories and most importantly prayed. We learned about how each one of us like seashells are all unique and come from God. We learned how to make the sign of the cross (although many children knew how) and we learned the God My Father prayer. We colored a shell and took it home the first day. We played Centers in the classroom which is what the pictures are from. We also played on the playground this week! We had a blast in Pre-k!!!
Thank you to all the parents who sent in supplies already. We really appreciate it. Also please send in your $25 napster fee along with the $35 supply fee. You may combine both into one check or pay cash whichever you prefer.
This is the only time I will print out the blog. Please check the SF website every Friday for important news and also the pictures from this blog. Go to SFCS website, click on Academics, Pre-k 4, my name and you will see the blog.
Here is the prayer so you can say it at home:
God My Father Prayer In the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy Spirit Amen
God my Father, I give you today
All that I do and all that I say
I'll work hard at learning have fun and play
Jesus be with me all through the day
Amen
There is also a clear bin that is placed outside the Pre-k door. If you forget a lunch box, jacket etc. you can place it in the bin, ring the bell and someone will come down to get it when we can.
Have a great weekend!
Mrs. McNulty
