Valentine's day was a fun celebration with a Valentine story read by Oliver. The children also colored and made a Heart handprint card for parents. The 100th day was fun! The children read stories, had a dance break, walked 100 steps in the Gym, had 100 seconds of silence and did 100 exercises! The children made 100 day necklaces out of Froot Loops. When there is a delayed opening we will open around 9:50 (5 minutes later than the big school). We will not have snack. Teddy Bear Day will be Friday, February 19. Bring your Teddy Bear for fun activities. There will be no show n' tell next Friday for our next letter. Show n' tell will be the Teddy Bear your child brings to school. We did not get a chance to complete all our Catholic School Week activities so we will do them during Lent. We will complete a religious project every week during Lent.
Sorry for any confusion the past several days when I was out. We will pass out cards next week and have the sticker exchange. If you still have cards and want to send them in the earliest I can give them out to the whole class will be next Friday. We MUST keep them sealed in a bin for 48 hours.

Enjoy the weekend,

HAPPY LENT!
During our vitural week we learned a new prayer for Lent. It is called the Lenten Prayer. Please say this during Lent in your home. The prayer is in Google classroom under Classwork (Religion week of February 16). We learned about Ash Wednesday, a lent song called ...A Little Bit of Love and about what Lent is. We will begin Lenten journals next week when we return to school. Please return My Lenten Journal (the cross we colored Friday). It will be the cover to the journal we will begin.
We learned about the letter Vv and the number 15.
Teddy Bear Day will be Wednesday, February 24. Bring your Teddy Bear to have lots of fun. No show n' tell this week. We will show off our Teddy Bears to the 5th grade.
A form will go home next week about Donuts with Daddy.
Valentines and sticker exchange will be next week. If you have not sent your stickers in and would like your child to participate in the sticker exchange please send a pack of stickers in Monday.
Stay warm-
