Our class book continues to circulate with such beautiful comments from parents. Thank you!
This week we prayed for Pope Francis and for the new elect Pope. We learned Christ is risen and how he rose on Easter! We had our first two May Crownings in our class and learned how to pray the Rosary. We will pray a decade of the Rosary each day and the children will participate. Each child will be given their own Rosary to pray with. Here is a picture of our May altar. Rosemary was the first to crown Mary. Here is a picture of her. I will not post pictures for each child but I will print out pictures of the May crowning for you to see and send them home.
We learned about both the Qq and Uu and the sounds they both make, how to write them and words that begin with them. Just a reminder we will have our QU wedding on Monday and please have your child bring in a QU show n' tell. For example: picture of a queen, question mark, quail etc. or a real quilt, quarter, queen's crown etc. Please wrap the show n' tell or put in a gift bag like a wedding gift.
We learned how to graph this week and had fun graphing around the classroom.
We are growing butterflies in our class! Our caterpillars came to us on Tuesday. It is so exciting to watch them grow!! We are learning about Life Cycles. We learned about the life cycle of the butterfly, bee, ant and a plant. We made butterflies out of stones, pony beads, colored cubes and foam blocks. We did a writing assignment about our butterflies. We also did a butterfly dance and song. We learned a butterfly prayer. The five day children make coffee filter butterflies on Tuesday!
We had a visit from the Chick-fil-a cow. The children were so amazed how tall he was and that he didn't talk! It was so cute!
We are practicing for Muffins with Mommy. Please practice your child's part at home each day. We will see all the moms on Wednesday at 8:30 in our classroom! 
A calendar went home for the month of May and June with all the fun activities we are doing. It also tells when your child will crown Mary.
