Pre-K4B began our week with setting up our leprechaun village. We put shamrock lights and gold coins in it to see if the leprechaun would come for a visit. We also decorated our classroom door with painted shamrocks and our hallway with shamrocks we decorated with ripped paper that we glued on. The leprechaun visited us and brought us stamps because we used our nice words. We also created a Saint Patrick’s dog using green markers and googly eyes.
We had our phonics review this week. We worked on the first two letter sounds in CVC words. We also reviewed our vowel sounds and used our letter blocks to see what words we can make using different vowels. We also worked on tracing our last name, and did a different phonic’s song during Morning Meeting.
The number of the Week was 16. We dotted it, and completed a puzzle matching all the numbers we learned so far.
For our new month, we are exploring all about different types of weather. We learned how clouds form and used cotton balls to see it too! We also shared our favorite weather we like to enjoy, and did a weather dance.
On Wednesday, we celebrated Lent. We all received ashes from the Deacon, and began our Lenten calendar of good things we can do each day. We also used our dotters and made stained glass crosses.
