Pre-K 4B worked on two letters this week. We learned about “I” and “X.” We practiced writing them on our Smartboard, and created a green insect and a colorful xylophone. We also read all about X rays, and played insect Bingo. We identified different words that begin with each letter, and found objects around our classroom as well!
We worked on graphing and skip counting for Math time. We began to learn how to skip count by 10s. We filled in what numbers were missing from 1-20, and traced the numbers in spring flowers. We also finished up learning about measuring what things weigh, and looked at what a scale does.
Pre-K created stained glass crosses using wax paper and colorful tissue paper for Lent. We also began learning a new prayer for Easter, and have been doing a great job on our Lenten tasks. Pre-K also learned about the creation story, and we colored our very own books to share at home.
We discovered a new weather song! We charted the weather this week in a journal. We looked out of the window when we came in every morning, and then drew what the weather was in our journal. We identified what a meteorologist job does and what skills they need to learn to become one.
We had a special treat when we visited the chick eggs from our Kindergarten classroom. We named other animals that hatch from eggs. We also had a special mystery reader who read us a book about a carousel, thank you!
Joshua brought home Francis over the weekend. Thank you for taking such good care of her.
