Thank you to Drea for taking home Everlee this weekend. Did you know she went to a baseball clinic and also had the Scream truck come to her house! Joey took Everlee mid week and he went bowling with her and played video games. What a fun time she had with both families!!!
We finally caught our Leprechaun WeeWee!! He lived in a water globe! The children were amazed to see him!!! We had a coin, necklace and bracelet hunt which WeeWee left us on our playground early Monday morning. Thanks to all who participated! On Saint Patrick's day we also had green grapes and green cookies (thanks Logan) and our centers were all green. We used green Saint Patrick stampers in the writing center, we made a green construction paper craft, we used green chalk on tile boards, we played with all green table toys and we used green Play-doh in our Play-Doh center! In Religion we learned about Saint Patrick who is the Patron Saint of Ireland. He is known for chasing the snakes out of Ireland! We also learned about Saint Joseph and how he was the foster father to Jesus, who was a carpenter and also Mary's husband. We continue to write in our Lenten journal.
In Language Arts we learned about the letter Gg who stands for Gus the Leprechaun! We wrote it, traced it, looked for items that began with the letter Gg, we used our white boards and Play-Doh. We completed several Gg papers, watched Gg videos on the Smartboard and picked out the letter Gg. We read a Gg story.
