I am sure your children have told you we caught the Leprechaun!!! The children were amazed when I showed them! The Leprechaun aka WeeWee left us gold coins, sunglasses, necklaces, cupcakes and a mustache this week! Thank you to all the parents who sent in things!
Thank you to Julian for taking home Gubbio. He went to soccer and made pizza at home with him. What fun! AJ was our Student of the Week. Please take a minute to learn about him.
We had more children bringing show n' tell these past two weeks. Just a reminder three day children have Show n' Tell on Wednesday and five day children have it on Thursday. This is great for public speaking.
This week we learned about the letter Yy. To learn about the letter Yy...we danced and sang along with videos and read a Yy story. We did a Yy craft... Mr. Y is yawning.
We learned about the number 17. We counted, traced, wrote and sang along to number 17 songs.
We learned about how a baby chick comes from an egg. We guessed on what egg would hatch first in the Kindergarten class. Nobody guessed the right chick! A farmer came in to speak with Kindergarten classes and drop off 12 eggs. We are watching them grow as well! They will be returned this Friday. The chicks came out and we went to see them. We held our own baby chick (not real) in our own class. We even drew chickens and a baby chick. Our pictures are hanging in the bathroom.
This week we learned about St. Patrick and more about Lent. We continued to write in our Lenten journals.
Just a reminder that Donuts with Daddy will be Monday at 8:30 am. Please be on time. Mrs. Meier will be taking pictures as soon as you walk in with your child. We will have donuts, coffee, color a picture with dad and then a show the children have prepared and practiced. Also, the children each made a tie for their dad so please be prepared to wear it for your time in Pre-k! It is an early "Father's Day" present. We celebrate Father's Day early because of St. Joseph Day on March 19. You will enjoy yourself I am sure!
We collected $148.33 for Social Concerns!!!! I know they will appreciate all the money. Thank you for your generosity!
God Bless,
Mrs. McNulty
