Pre-K4B had a blast celebrating Saint Patrick’s Day. Leo the Leprechaun gave us so many treats to help us celebrate. We read about Saint Patrick who came from Ireland. We also colored a picture of him and learned a new prayer to him. We had a leprechaun dance party with bubbles too! We watched some of the Saint Patrick's Day Parade from NYC and learned about bagpipes.
The Letter of the Week was Y. We created our own snowy Yeti, and found Ys in a search. We went on a Y search around our classroom as well. We practiced writing the letter on our Smart board, and wrote it in chalk too. We also worked on our last names, and made them out of playdough. We also painted with yarn. We created our own yellow yo yos too!
Monday was Pie Day! We created circles out of pipe cleaners and we named all there colors. We also made yummy circle pancakes to eat. We sang a fun song about circles, and found circular things in our classroom. We also colored the pie symbol in rainbow colors.
Our number of the week was 19. We stomped 19 times with the Count from Sesame Street and wrote in on our writing line our board. We also worked on measuring with a ruler and a scale. We measured out play fruit on a scale.
We also explored about baby crocodiles. We learned they hatch from eggs, and how they grown. We colored our own baby crocodile. We also named all the other animals that hatch from eggs.
The Student of the Week was Sofia. We learned she likes pizza and "Encanto."
Thank you and God Bless!
