Pre-K4B had a blast at our Saint Patrick’s Celebration. We did our rainbow dance with Lucky the Leprechaun, and he brought us necklaces to celebrate. We also read the story of Saint Patrick during Morning Meeting. We prepared Lucky Charm Treats and followed the recipe so well. We ended our day with using different clover stamps to make a picture with paint.
Our Letter of the Week was “E.” We learned all about Easter eggs, and even decorated our own eggs using paint. We spelled the letter with our Sesame Street friends, and colored an Earth. We created our own uppercase “E” Elmos.
Our Number of the Week was 16. We counted in English and Spanish, and put it in our ten frames. We also did a freeze dance with our numbers. We celebrated “Pie Day” too! We learned all about what number pie is and sang a song about it. We also painted our own blueberry pies! We made a circle caterpillar, and made circles out of pipe cleaners.
We learned about the Gospel story of Jesus asking for water. We practiced using our words to ask for what we need. We also did a matching game on things that need water too.
We began to explore Spring Animals. We first did a Spring animal dance and made our very own cottontail bunnies. We also learned about baby bunnies that are named kits, and how fast bunnies can hop.
Thank you to Danika for bringing home Francis. She painted and loved the trampoline.
Happy 5th Birthday to Maeve who celebrated it on Wednesday!
