This week we had our last two letters! We learned about “Y” and “Z.” We drew pictures of each of the letters with chalk outside, and read all about zebras! We also built the letter “Y” with legos and relaxed with Alphabet Yoga. We celebrated our last letter with special alphabet cookies!
On Wednesday, we celebrated “Teddy Bear Day.” During Morning Meeting, we introduced all our teddy bears to the class, and we painted a teddy bear plate. We also pretended to be doctors to do a full examination on our bears. To end our day, we drew portraits of our teddy bears.
We worked a leprechaun craft by creating his beard with forks and orange paint. We also sang our rainbow song and read a rainbow book to see if our leprechaun Lucky would visit us.
On Friday, we had Pi Day! We made circles out of pipe cleaners and made a blueberry using blue paint and strips of paper. We also sang a Pi song!
Our number this week was 17. We worked on coloring 17 in our ten frames and beginning at the right square. We also traced our number and did a great job building a tower with 17 of our wooden blocks.
For our STREAM activity, we continued to explore the weather. We cut out different types of weather and matched it to a picture of it. We created our tornado in a jar with dish soap and shook the jar!
We continued to work on our Lenten Calendar and did one kind task each day. We also began to work on reciting our Easter prayer.
Life Choices came for a visit on Friday. We learned about how they help families and explained to us how all our donations will help.
