The Ronald McDonald House serves families whose children require care at an area hospital by offering them a homelike atmosphere where they can get the rest and renewal they need to be most supportive of their sick or injured child.
Ronald McDonald House receives money for each pound of aluminum POP TABS collected. The tabs can come from soda cans, energy drinks, soup cans, or anything with a metallic tab.
POP TABS can be brought to the Library or given to Mrs. Hajduk during Library classes.
POP TABS collected at SFCS will be taken to the Ronald McDonald House on Somerset Street in New Brunswick.
Welcome to the SFCS Library!

Students in Grades K through 5 visit the library once a week for 45 minutes. Books may be borrowed for one week at a time with renewals as necessary.
Middle school students are encouraged to continue to visit the library and borrow books accordingly.
We do not charge for overdue books. Students are sent a "Whoops" notice to let them know that a book is overdue and are asked to return books as soon as possible.
If a book is lost, a replacement cost is charged. Some of our books are purchased with special library binding which gives added strength to the spines. These books are more expensive to replace.
If a student has more than six books borrowed at any time, it is due to the discretion of the librarian if more books are allowed to be borrowed.
Students who have not returned books at the end of the previous school year may not borrow books until those books are either paid for or returned.
Last year we had several parents who gave their children cloth tote bags in which to carry their library books back and forth. This is especially helpful for our Kindergarten students who carry their books from one building to another. We do provide plastic bags for our books but in the interest of the environment, we would like to discourage their use.
I would like to thank Mrs. Kelly, Mrs. Garcia, and Mrs. Brown for their very successful work on the Scholastic Book Fair. They recreated the traditional Book Fair to make it "contactless" for the safety of everyone. They spent endless hours planning, fullfilling orders, and delivering orders to our students. I am forever grateful for their creativity & dedication. The proceeds of the Book Fair will enable me to purchase new books for the Library!
