Reminders:
*A special thank you to all the Dads for coming this past Thursday to celebrate St. Joseph's Day with your child! The children were so excited and had a wonderful morning spending time with you! I will be printing out a picture of you and your child that we took of the both of you together that day and sending it home this week.
*It was quite a busy week this past week, with Pi Day, our chick visit, St. Joseph's Day and St. Patrick's Day! The children loved having the chicks with us. The chicks went back to the farm this past Friday. All 12 hatched! The children had a chance to name the chicks (along with the 2 other Kindergarten classes) as well as pick a number as to which chick they thought would hatch first! Egg number 10 hatched first!! I will be putting in your child's folder a picture of your child holding one of the chicks!
*This past Tuesday, we got together with the whole school to make a paper chain representing all the numbers of Pi. Congratulations to Jackson in our class for knowing the most numbers of Pi as well as to Alexandra for winning a pie during our raffle!
*The students were very busy this week making leprechaun traps for St. Patrick's Day. The children had to use supplies from their desk and a few other supplies given to them. They were all very creative!
*Please be sure to look at my classroom google page as I will be posting many pictures from this past week!
**I am asking if you could please help me out and not have your child come to school with any extra school supplies such as notebooks to draw in and twistable crayons/markers or crayon boxes that are larger then a 24 box of crayons. We have plenty of items in the classroom for children to use. As per the supply note at the beginning of the year, we only use the crayola crayons. You may send in a box of 24 crayola crayons if your child needs them. I will be sending any extra items your child has in class back this week to be kept at home.
**I also have been having students bring in toys in their backpacks as well. Please leave all toys at home in fear of hurt feelings if a toy goes missing or gets broken. If you are brining in a toy for your child for aftercare, please remind your child that it should only come out of the backpack at aftercare. I appreciate all your help in adnvance.
