* Your child came home on Friday with their first little book. Please look for it and have your child read it to you. This one was with sight word "the" and words beginning with a and b. Your child will be sent home with 1 or 2 of these little books each week. Please be sure you have your child read the book to you. In class, I taught the children how they need to use their index finger to point to each word that they are reading. This will help when the books get more words on a page so they do lose their place when reading.
Math:
*We are starting Chapter 2 this week. We will learn about solid shapes: sphere, cone, cylinder, cube and rectangular prism.
Religion:
*On Monday, we will celebrate the feast of St. Francis
Good God Choices Lesson 3: How to Be A Good Friend
Social Studies/Science:
*We will start talking about Pumpkins!
*I sent an email out this past Friday with a lot of information. Please let me know if you did not receive it.
*This past Monday, we celebrated Johnny Appleseed and on Wednesday we got to see the police officers at the end of the blue mass. I will post pictures on my classroom google page!
Have a great week,
Mrs. Johnson
