Pre-K4B had a fun filled week to celebrate Catholic School’s Week. We began at Morning Meeting on Monday sharing what makes Saint Francis so special. We all loved saying prayers, our playground, and creating our beautiful art work.
We celebrated our community by creating heart cards for a local nursing home. We also named different people who help us in our community. We read a book about who helps us, and sang a “Thank You” song. We also saw all the gear our fire fighters wear. We ended the day by drawing what we want to be when we grow up.
We then had a very special day to thank our wonderful families. We made our homes out of playdough and drew a family portrait. We also created our own family trees using hearts. We also brought home cookies and a thank you card for all our families do for us.
We had a day to learn about vocations. We colored a reading book to share with our families what we learned. We also made a church out of legos, and looked at pictures of our cathedral. Father Jay visited us to read us a book about all things God created and blessed our throats as well. He spoke us all about Saint Balise on his Feast Day. We worked on our “Jesus Can” song, and reviewed all the prayers we learned.
We had a Disney Day too! We made our own mickey ears, and counted all different Mickey ears too! We made a dot painting too to make mickey ears! We also did a great job with our 5th Grade Buddies at our dance party in the gym.
We read a book about our groundhog friend, and watched as we have six more weeks of Winter. We all said we wanted snow, and we made our very own groundhogs.
We ended the week by celebrating our kindness to our teachers and friends. We read books about being a good friend, and took a Kindness Pledge. We also had kindness buckets at our desks. We received a sticker for every kind act we did. We also made coffee filter hearts, and made snowmen out of our names.
A very Happy Birthday to Allyson who celebrated her 5th Birthday with us on Tuesday!
Congratulations to Jessica, who was our Student of the Week. We learned she loves science at school and the number 5!
A friendly reminder that Monday, February 6th is an 11:30 dismissal for Parent Teacher Conferences.
Thank you and God Bless,
