Pre-K 4B was very excited to draw portraits of our pet “Goldie.” Goldie was very excited to them. We read all about goldfish and learned how they can breathe underwater. We also discovered how many fish flakes to feed her.
Our Letter of the Week was “N.” We played an Alphabet Maze game on our SmartBoard, and found objects that start with “N” in our classroom. We learned that we have several friends that have n in their names. We created the night sky and made a lower case number “n.” We wrote number 1 through 10 and glued them onto the letter.
Our Number of the Week was 13. We placed 13 in our ten frames, and fed Francis 13 cookies. We practiced to write in our Smart Board and learned a new number song that we counted up to the number 20. We also made our number out of playdough, and use dotters to write the number as well.
We explored all about the walrus this week. We played a walrus concentration game, and colored the tusks on a walrus. We discovered all about the Artic where they live and the parts of the walrus. The new word we learned was habitat. We learned the Arctic is the habitat for some whales, polar bears, and walruses.
Pre-K 4B also had a wonderful learning our new song “Jesus Loves Me,” We used our shakers in the song, and did all the motions so well. We explored about the Creation story, and colored our very own book to share with our families. We even watched a video on it.
Our Student of the Week was Angela. Angela is very social with her friends, and does a great job on her writing. We learned she loves pizza and to play at school.
Francis visited Marco and his family. She went to soccer practice, and met Marco’s family. Thank you for taking such good care of her.

*Friday, February 4th will be a half day of school.*
