Catholic School's Week is next week and will begin with noon Mass at the Cathedral followed by Open House from 1:00-3:00PM. Please come and join us if you can. A note went home Monday explaining the entire week of activates in Pre-k 4A. Thank you to Rosemary for being our Student of the Week. Did you know she likes to swim, play soccer and do karate. Wow!
This week we learned about the miracles of Jesus. We read Jesus Cures the Blind Man, Jesus Turns Water into Wine and Jesus Walks on Water. We sang a song of Jesus' Miracles called Jesus Can. We also went to our first Mass on Wednesday. It was amazing how the children listened to Father Christy and how well behaved they were. Father Christy came over to visit us and tell us how much he enjoyed seeing the children in Mass. We will be going again in February. When I get a date I will let you know. We learned about the letter Bb and the number 12. We also learned how to sort and classify objects. Show n' tell next week will be the letter Pp. We have been continuing to practice cutting with our child scissors. The children are improving each time they cut. We read a Let's Find Out magazine about Winter animals and who hibernates in the Winter. We read a book called Geraldine and the Big Snow on Tuesday. We decided to paint in the snow in tubs in our classroom. Mrs. McNulty brought snow inside and we had so much fun painting with food coloring. It looked like cotton candy when we were finished it was so pretty! Cozy Day was much fun! We read with our flashlights and friends, we ate french toast, colored a cozy day picture and dressed warm and cozy. Conference slips went home today. Please look in your child's folder.
