Happy New Year! We began the week by learning our new year and learning a new month’s song. We also read all about our new season, winter! We drew silly snowmen, and showed them to all our friends. 

Pre-K Created our own penguin. We ripped black and orange paper and glued them to our penguin. We also did our penguin dance, and read all about a penguin’s habitat. 

Pre-K worked on their counting skills by counting legos, and matching the number to the winter items. We also reviewed our positions and what a pattern is.

Pre-K also reviewed their letter sounds. We introduced CVC words, and worked on identifying how many letters sounds we hear in our words. 

We began learning our “Glory Be” prayer. We recited it during Morning Meeting.

For STEAM, we explored all about popsicles. We shared what our favorite flavors are, and then drew what flavors we would like to make.

• Friday, January 10th is a noon dismissal.

• A Friendly Reminder Parent/Teacher Conferences are on Monday, Feb. 10th beginning at 1pm, it is a noon dismissal that day (no aftercare). A letter will be going home with more information next week.
