Thank you to Nathan for taking Polly home this past weekend. Did you know he went to the Mall with Polly. What fun!
Mackenzie is our Student of the Week. Please take a moment to read about her.
This week we learned about the Baptism of the Lord. We learned who St. John was and we learned about our own Baptism. We are also learning the prayer The Glory Be.
Glory be to the Father And to the Son
And to the Holy Spirit
As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be
World without end
Amen
Please practice this prayer at home with your child.
We leanred the letter Mm this week which was fairly easy for the children since we just learned the letter Nn. We learned how to write it on the whiteboard and we made Mm's out of toys! See the pictures of the children making the letter Mm's!
We learned how to sort this week and learned about graphs.
We also learned about hibernation and about in particular how bears hibernate. We learned a song about hibernation and read stories of how bears hibernate. We drew a hibernating bear!
We learned who Martin Luther King was and read a story about him.
There is NO SCHOOL Monday January 16 because of Martin Luther King Day.
A homework went home Wednesday to help decorate our hallway for Catholic School Week. Please tell us why your child likes SFCS and have them draw a picture and color it. Please return it by January 20.
Slips are starting to come in for conference times for February 6. Please return your form as soon as possible so I can make a schedule. I am starting to test each child for letters, sounds, numbers, quantities, shapes and prayers. A Pre-k Assessment will go out at the end of January.
God Bless,
Mrs. McNulty
