Happy February birthday to Mrs. Meier!
Thank you Thenuka for taking Gubbio home. He had a great time at the Mall with him and his sister!
We are at the end of our Student of the Week showcase and everyone had a turn. It was so much fun learning about each of the children!
This week we kicked off CSW with making cards for the nursing home Monday and Mrs. Stevens came to visit our classroom. She is the Superintendent of Catholic schools in the Diocese of Metuchen. We recited the poem Lovely Lady Dressed in Blue for her and she loved it!
Tuesday was Family Day. We had pizza in our classroom and we made a handprint gift for our parents along with a thank you card for sending us to SFCS. We reviewed the alphabet with a new alphabet phonics game with locks! We also went outside for the first snow to try to catch snowflakes on our tongues! See the pictures.
Wednesday was Vocations Day. We learned about the five finger prayer. We read a story if God Came to Visit Me. We also learned about Saint Blaise. Father Jay came to our classroom on Thursday and read us a story. We learned about groundhogs and what groundhog day was all about. Today we had a little bit of snow on the ground when we came to school. We made mini snowmen today out of real snow! The children were so excited to do this activity!!!
Thursday was Disney Day. It was Student Appreciation Day too! We had fun in the Gym with our buddies dancing. We had Philly pretzels as a snack for Student Appreciation day!
Friday was Kindness Day and we were all trying to be a little kinder to each other! Father Jay came to bless our throats for the Feast of St. Blaise.
We had such a full week for CSW. We had so much fun doing all of the activiites. Next week we will get back to normal and will also have homework.
Just a reminder Monday is an 11:30 am dismissal. There is No Aftercare available. See you at conferences. Please be on time for your conference. Remember if you can't make it either call the office or email me. Please come to the side door (by the playground) and Mrs. Meier or Mrs. A. will let you in.
God Bless and keep warm!
