Pre-K4B had a Dr. Seuss celebration. We read Doctor Seuss silly books, and colored numbered fish red and blue. We colored in a “Cat in the Hat” picture, and sang a song about rhyming words. We even had a Dr. Seuss dance party with bubbles.
The letter of the week was “W.” We created watermelons, and did a great job with our fine motor skills with gluing. We found “W” objects around our classroom, and read “Wacky Wednesday.” We also worked at writing out last names.
For our number 17, we traced it on our Smartboard, and counted 17 fish on our desk. We also worked on learning about teen numbers, and learned a new teen number song. We also colored seventeen circles! We also explored measurement and what a ruler is. We measured our desks with a ruler.
We learned our five finger prayer at school. Every day we prayed for different people on each finger. We prayed for those who help us, our families, and friends. We also read “Noah’s Ark” and explored our Noah set and counted by twos. We celebrated Ash Wednesday as well. We are accepting donations, please refer to the letter that went home this week for what items each week. Thank you in advance!
We discovered all about crocodiles and did a teeth dance. We learned how crocodiles eat and their diet. We explored their habitat, and made crocodiles out of playdough.
Pre-K 4B received a special visitor from Leo the Leprechaun. He is visiting us from Ireland and brought his village over too. He also brought special presents if we have good listener ears!
Our student of the Week was Matthew. We learned that Matthew enjoys Pete the Cat and reading.
Evan had a visit from Francis, and they had so much fun. Thank you for taking such good care of her!
As the mask mandate has ceased, please email to let me know if you would like your child to still continuing wearing a mask. We will do our best to reinforce it. Also, please bring extra masks in your child’s backpack. Also, please remember if your child is vomiting, diarrhea, or has a persistent cough please keep them at home.
*A friendly reminder that the school will be closed on Friday, March 11th for a Professional Development Day.*
God Bless and thank you!
