Pre-K4B had a fun week with our new letters “W” and “X.” We learned about the X-ray fish and wrote our X’s on our SmartBoard. We also continued to complete our letter journal and practice spelling and writing our last names.
Our Number of the Week was fifteen. We began our week by stacking fifteen legos on top of one another and practiced writing fifteen. We moved onto measurement. We looked at what a ruler is and we all picked out one item in the class to measure. We also measured using our tiles. We measured our names tags and our pencil cases.
We also explored “The Mitten” book. We reviewed the parts of the book and labeled them on our SmartBoard.
We read “The Mitten” and then cut out all the animals and put them into our painted mitten. In addition, we created our own book to share with our families and we read in class to practice our reading skills.
We read the Bible Story, “Daniel and the Lion.” We colored our own book and cut out the story in sequence.
Pre-K4B ended our week by celebrating “Read Across America.” Our Fifth grade buddies came in for a visit. They read us Dr. Seuss books and colored with us. They loved to see our silly socks too! We created our own “Cat in the Hat” hats and colored our own red and blue fish painting.
