Pre-K 4B is wrapping up our letters! We learned all about the letters “N" and “V.” We built our “N” out of blocks, and read all about violins. We also practiced writing our last names. We are working on sounding out different CVC words every Morning Meeting time as well.
The number of the week is fourteen. We colored in our ten frames and practiced tracing the number. We began exploring all about measurement. We began with different sizes. We identified large versus small animals. We also shared what is large vs small in our own classroom.
Pre-K explored the Bible story of Jonah and the Whale. We completed an emergent reader to share the story with our families, and created our own whale. We began to practice all the prayers we learned each day by picking a different one to recite!
Pre-K learned about President Lincoln and President Washington to celebrate President's Day. We ripped black construction paper to create President Lincoln's beard, and white tissue paper for President Washington’s hair.
Pre-K had a blast celebrating the 100th Day of School! We colored necklaces and used Q-tips to paint to sprinkle 100 sprinkles on an ice cream cone. We put our favorite school snacks into ten frames to make 100 snacks! We also received special certificates to celebrate. Thank you to everyone for dressing up as if they were 100 years old, everyone looked fabulous!
Congratulations to Maeve and the Klarich Family on baby Jack's arrival. We are so excited for you!
