Thank you to Auri for taking Gubbio this past weekend. She went to the American Dream Mall and had so much fun!
This week we learned about St. Valentine, the bible stories- Creation and Adam and Eve.
We learned about the letter Vv and the number 13.
On Valentine's Day we went on a heart hunt on the playground, danced to Valentine songs, sang Valentine songs, counted/colored 13 hearts, colored a V for Valentine paper along with a valentine teddy bear. We had cupcakes and red jello for snack. We also walked back and fourth through streams that were on top of the door.
Tuesday was our 100th day of school for the five day children. All of the children dressed up as a 100 year old person. Mrs. McNulty had an apron with 100 ribbons like Miss Bindergarten (a famous book for the 100th day) and Mrs. Meier had a shirt with 100 buttons! We counted to 100 with many toys around the classroom, made a necklace out of 100 fruit Loops, made a 100 day snack out of graham crackers and fudge striped cookies! We walked 100 steps, dotted a gumball machine100 times, made a log cabin out of 100 Lincoln Logs, made a house out of 100 crayons, had 100 seconds of silence, did 100 exercises, did 100 day dances and songs, showed our outfits to the 5th grade and read 100 day stories!!! What a busy two days Monday and Tuesday was!
Wednesday we enjoyed grilled cheese for lunch! This was our cooking project for the month of February!
We made a volcano and watced it erupt! We drew volcanos on Friday for the letter Vv.
God Bless,
Mrs. McNulty
