Thank you to Emily for taking home Everlee this past weekend! Did you know she took her to breakfast on Saturday and then her brother, William's basketball game. What fun! Our Winter book is still going around to all families. Thank you to parents for all the positive comments on the children's work. They love hearing from each family!
This week we learned about God's gift of water. We learned all the ways to save water and what we use water for. We also played with water as a treat on Tuesday with partners and plastic Valentines! We have Holy Water in our classroom we are able to bless ourselves daily. Next week we will talk about Baptism. If you have a 4x6 picture of your child at their Baptism please send it in next week so we can add it to our Pre-k house. If your child was not baptized no worries. We learned about the letter Dd this week. We sang, used white boards, made Dd's, colored Dd pictures, watched videos, traced the Dd in the air and decorated Donuts (thanks Logan for the donuts). We also learned about the number 14. We traced, wrote, used white boards, counted and sang and watched a video of number 14. Show n' tell next week is the letter V We talked about Abe Lincoln and George Washington and read Let's Find Out. We watched two videos on both presidents. We learned that President Lincoln liked dogs and President Washington liked horses. Just a reminder we have school Monday, February 17. We will be attending Mass on Wednesday, February 19 @ 8:00 if you can join us. We had so much fun on Valentine's Day. We started off by making Valentine pictures for our 5th grade buddies. We then had a heart hunt on the playground where we all searched for 10 plastic hearts each. We counted to 14 with our hearts and used them to help us complete a number 14 paper. We played Valentine, Valentine who stole our dog a little game of seek and find. We had red snack which was red jello and a heart cupcake. We did a Valentine science experiment called Floating Hearts. We read Valentine stories and sang songs. What a fun day! God Bless, Mrs. McNulty
