Pre-K 4B celebrated Valentine’s Day Eve together! We had a dance party and enjoyed pancakes. We also made red jello in a heart shape to enjoy. Thank you everyone for sharing beautiful cards for our card exchange. We also painted with cookie cutter hearts and played BINGO.
Our Letter of the Week was “H.” It was perfect because we made heart shapes out of playdough! We traced it on our SmartBoard, and found different things around the classroom that began with that letter. We created our own Hippos and watched a video about them.
Our Number was “12.” We made the number with our blocks and in our sand trays. We also counted it out with our animal shapes, and traced them!
We celebrated our 100th Day of School by putting 100 chocolate chips in our homemade cookies. We created mobiles that had the favorite things we learned and dotted our 100 gumballs. We had a 100 Day Dance party, and loved seeing everyone dressed up as if they were 100 years old. We also did 100 jumping jacks and put 100 of our favorite snacks in our ten frames.
We also had a 101 Day party on Wednesday. We colored 101 circles to make Dalmatian ears and we designed our own Dalmatian puppy faces. We also made a special snack mix we all enjoyed.
We learned all about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. We made our own President’s book, and sang, “God Bless America.” We also constructed their faces, we used a coffee filter for George Washington’s shirt, and black tissue paper for President Lincoln’s beard.
Pre-K 4B learned about how God made rules and the greatest rule is to love one another. We also made our own prayer books and put together all the prayers we learned.
Thank you to Autumn for taking such good care of Francis. She went to a Birthday party and met a cat!
A friendly reminder the school is closed on Monday, February 20th for President’s Day.
Thank you and God Bless,
